Every time I look back at photos of Finn, he looks so much bigger. He’s out growing his clothes. Every 6 months or so, we get him new clothes.
First, because he trashes his clothes. He gets holes on his knees and rips in his shirts. I’m not sure how he does it but it happens to all of his clothes.
Secondly, his clothes that fit him become floods just 6 months later. His shoes are the piece of clothing that he outgrows the quickest.
Whenever we buy his shoes, I always try to get him a half or a full size bigger. Even with that strategy, they only seem to last him about 6 months.
His shoes have been fitting him pretty tight and he’s been requesting some Air Jordans as the next shoes to buy.
Sarah went online and found the Air Jordans. She showed him the design and he okayed the purchase. Sarah filled out the purchase order and typed in his shoe size which is a 6.
Yesterday his shoes arrived and he was bouncing with excitement. He tore open the packaging and ripped open the shoe box.
When he looked inside he pulled out his teeny, tiny Air Jordans. He began to laugh and said, “What is this?” As he held up these toddler shoes. Apparently Sarah was correct when she filled out 6 for his shoe size but she pressed 6T which stands for 6 Toddler.
If we would have gone into a physical store and been helped by a professional shoe salesman, this would have never happened.
The more and more our lives become technologically advanced, the more and more we lose that personal human touch.
Everything is being designed to remove the human element.
Nowadays, you call a business and you never talk to a physical human.
It’s always, “if you want this, press this number. If you want that, press this number.”
The human connection is being lost. Customer service is a dying trait.
You see people buying mail order invisible trays to straighten their teeth. No dental appointments needed. No dentist to make sure your teeth are straightening correctly. No professional to make sure your bite is accurate. Just do it yourself. It’s like doing your own crown. Yikes!
Here at Dente, we offer Invisalign clear aligners. The reason we do this in the office is so that we can monitor your progress. A dentist that actually works on teeth.
If you think your teeth are not looking straight or that one tooth just speaks to you, give us a call at 773-292-1911 or visit us at mydente.com to schedule an appointment today.
