Probably, most of my entire life, I listened to 93.1 WXRT.
There may have been a short stint where I listened to the Loop because I enjoyed listening to Jonathon Brandmeier in the mornings. But for my music, it was WXRT all the way.
Many of you noticed when I had XRT radio on and would comment that you were also fans of XRT.
But one of the most annoying things to me was while I listened to XRT, the enormous amount of commercials they played. It seemed like they play more commercials than music.
One day, I was complaining to one of my patients about this annoying feature about public radio. He recommended for me to get Spotify. He said that if I paid about $10 per month, I could listen to any type of music I wanted, without any interruption.
At our office we have a huge array of different music that we like.
One day we’ll be listening to Pearl Jam and the next day we’ll be listening to Mark Anthony Salsa music. We all have different tastes in music. The things that I like aren’t necessarily the things that the Dente staff likes. So that’s why we’ll all take turns choosing the music for the day.
This is no different in dentistry, with teeth.
When someone comes in, wanting to improve their smile, I’ll have a mental picture of what I think it should look like. The patient will have their own idea of what their smile should look like and sometimes will bring in photos of different smiles they like.
But my tastes don’t always match up with the patients tastes. I could give recommendations but ultimately it’s their smile.
This is why we will always create a mock up of your proposed smile before we start. It will be a plastic prosthetic that goes over your current teeth, to give you, literally, a picture of what your new smile can look like. All this is done without altering or changing your teeth.
This step is crucial to discuss any concerns or things they’d like to change with the proposed smile.
