When the state began the quarantine in March, my mind was going all over the place.
I was really worried about my business.
Were people going to want to go to their dental appointments?
How was I going to make our office a safe environment to work in and to treat patients?
I spent tons of hours watching different webinars on making the dental office a safe environment in this Covid-19 world.
We take all of our employees temperature and oxygen levels everyday. We also ask them a list of questions as to how they are feeling to avoid anyone coming into work that could be potentially sick.
We ask the same questions and do the same protocol, check temperature and oxygen levels, with all of our patents.
Before our patients walk into the office, we call them and ask them a list of questions to evaluate if someone could potentially have been exposed to Covid-19. Because we do not want anyone coming into the office who could be infected or sick.
We spray hypochlorous acid after each patient, to disinfect the air. We use a low volume fogger that sprays this human friendly disinfectant. Hypochlorous acid is produced naturally in our body and kills the Covid-19 virus.
Every hour, we wipe down high-contact touch surfaces with disinfectant wipes. You may have already seen Katie or Zhana wiping down counters, door handles and the bathroom while you were at your appointment. They are like clockwork. Lastly, we invested in a high power air filtration system that removes 99.99% of all viruses.
We’ve also stepped up our customer service and our attention to detail. I have been hyper focused and am producing some of the best dentistry in my career.
It’s exciting to see how this pandemic has unified our team and created an amazing place to work. Many of our patients are noticing and are feeling this positive energy that is coming off of everyone in our office.
I am grateful for all of the new patients that our existing patients have been sending our way.
If you have a friend that has been thinking of switching to a new dentist, please send them our way. Have them call 773-292-1911 to schedule their new patient appointment.
