I’ve always been a Beetles fan.
More than a Beetles fan, I’m a Paul McCartney fan.
Whenever I see him in interviews, I love watching him.
I remember when I began to really like Paul McCartney.
I was watching an interview with Julian Lennon. John Lennon’s eldest son from his first marriage.
When Julian was about 7 or 8 years old, John Lennon divorced his mother and began to live with Yoko Ono.
He saw very little of his father after his parents divorce and didn’t have much of a relationship with him after that. He said that Paul McCartney became more of a father figure to him, and would visit him pretty frequently.
The song was his attempt to have Julian look at his parents divorce in a more positive framework.
I love how he seems to be a humble and kind guy, despite his huge amount of fame.
One of my friends once saw Paul and went to say hi. Just as she walked up to Paul, 3 body guards kept her from approaching Paul. He saw the woman and told the body guards, “No, it’s ok.”
She said he was a complete gentleman and very kind guy.
I recently saw a segment with Paul McCartney and James Corden, the host of the Late Late Show. Paul gives John a tour of Liverpool, The Beetles hometown.
The segment was funny and at times emotional. It was very entertaining.
If you have 20 minutes to spare take a look. You will not be disappointed.
