All over our neighborhood, our sidewalks are being redone.
It’s kind of annoying. I’ll be running, not really paying attention, and all of a sudden, there is a dramatic drop on the pavement and I’m running on gravel.
The drop from one surface level to another, will startle me.
Then I’ll begin talking to myself, “This is so annoying. This construction project is taking forever. How inconvenient for me.”
As I was running, I saw that a house had set up a cooler with cold bottled water for the construction workers. They were showing their appreciation and thanking the workers in their own way.
Once I passed that cooler my annoyance went away.
This particular house was telling the workers, “We notice your hard work and appreciate you!” It was a wonderful gesture.
We see this type of appreciation from our patients when they refer us someone they care about.
Dentistry can sometimes be uncomfortable and inconvenient. But what our patients see and feel is the level of care we provide.
They appreciate how we take care of them. And they let us know.
Sending us the people you love is the greatest level of appreciation we could receive.
