I’ve been an WXRT 93.1 FM listener since high school. The radio station plays a wide variety of music and it has always supported the indie artist that weren’t in the mainstream.
I always liked how it was a place where talented artist, that didn’t have the mass appeal, had a spot to get their music heard.
For years, I only played XRT in the office. Many of my patients would comment they too loved XRT. But after years and years of listening to XRT, the thousands of hours of commercials became too much. Every 10 to 15 minutes the music stopped and the commercials began playing.
Then someone suggested that I play Pandora or Spotify instead. It was a subscription and there were no commercials.
I decided to subscribe to Spotify. Not sure why I went with that company but that’s the one I picked.
At first, the play lists were pretty repetitive. In a couple of hours you would listen to the same song a few times. But then I recognized, that I could like a song and that let Spotify know that the song they just played, was a song that I really liked.
As I let Spotify know more and more of the songs that I liked, it began to get very good at playing songs that I loved.
After years of programming, I have accumulated thousands of songs that I like in the Spotify software program.
This has created an amazing music listening experience.
This is how all businesses work.
After years and years of doing business with your customers, you accumulate a list of things that work and a list of things that don’t work.
There is only a certain amount that dental school teaches their students, then it falls under good old fashion experience to get the rest of your knowledge.
There is no short cutting to that process. Everyone has to go through it.
I’ve been a dentist for over 20 years. In those 20 years, I’ve seen a lot of stuff.
Having that number of years, under my belt, has helped me perfect my technique, being able to create restorations that don’t hurt and are comfortable to chew.
