Swaddling Houdini

I have funny things happen to me all the time.

Sometimes I’ll be thinking of someone and all of a sudden the phone will ring and it’s that person.

On Sunday we had a similar thing happen to us. Sarah and I were talking about Claudia, Finn’s nanny, that began taking care of him from the age of 3 months old to 7 years old.

I asked Sarah if she had spoken to Claudia lately. She responded that it had been about 10 months since she last talked to her.

I told her that I was thinking about her that day and Sarah said she was too. Later that day the doorbell rang and it was Claudia.

It was such a weird thing.

She was with Finn at such an early age and the two of them have a special bond. He gets excited to see her.

We were reminiscing about how he used to love to be swaddled and how he would escape out of it Houdini style.

So Finn and Claudia did a reenactment for old times sakes. It was hilarious.

You probably have the same experiences too.

You think, “I need to make a dental appointment, but I’ll do it later.” When you get home from work or school, sure enough, Katie left you a message on the phone to give us a call for an appointment.
