On Tuesday, I received my vaccine. It went great.
Zero symptoms…maybe a slightly sore arm, but that’s it.
For the last week, I’ve been talking to friends, who are in health care, as to how we could get our team vaccinated.
I would get a bit of information from this person, and another piece of information from that person.
Here is some of the information that I have acquired throughout this process.
First, we received a list from the Illinois Department of Public Health. It listed the different phases in which people will be vaccinated. In each phase, the health department defines who those people will be. I will provide that list so you can see where you fall.
Finding places that were vaccinating health care workers was very hard to find. All of the vaccinating sites were provided to me by health care worker friends.
Once the vaccine becomes available to the general public, you will need to be proactive if you want to receive it.
As I get more information about the vaccine locations and when we change phases, I will post them.
