It seems to be an annual ritual that my credit card is compromised. Every year, I receive a call from my credit card company asking me if I’m making a certain purchase.
They have caught the fraudulent purchases 100% of the time.
Last weekend, they were calling me in real time as the transaction was occurring. I received a call from the Visa Fraud Department. They asked me if I was making a purchase at Best Buy for $2,900. I quickly responded, “No!”
Then they informed me that their technology had identified this suspicious activity and they were going to cancel my card. I would receive a new card in the mail shortly.
I am amazed at how accurate they are with identifying fraudulent activity. In my case, it has been 100%
At our office we like to use technology but I am definitely not the guy that buys anything and everything the minute it first comes out.
I like to wait for a bit to see how it really performs to see if it does what it says it will do.
After all, not all technology is created equal.
One technology that I love is the Velscope. This is an oral cancer detection device. It helps see any irregular tissue at levels that aren’t seen by the naked eye.
If we see an irregular finding then we have the patient return in 3 weeks. If the irregularity has not gone away then we will send the patient to a Dr. for a biopsy.
We perform this exam every year.
If you are interested in an office that has the latest technology, please call our Chicago Dentist at 773-292-1911 and ask for Zhana or Katie. Tell them you’d like to set up a consultation.
Floss like a madman!
