Recently I received my vaccine. It went great.
Zero symptoms…a slightly sore arm, but that’s it.
I received my vaccine at the Jewel Osco in River Forest. It was quick and easy. I am grateful that I was able to decipher the lack of information that is being provided to us.
I’ve been talking to friends, who are in health care, as to how we could get our team vaccinated.
I would get a bit of information from this person, and another piece of information from that person.
First, we received a list from the Illinois Department of Public Health. It listed the different phases in which people will be vaccinated. In each phase, the health department defines who those people will be.
Finding appointments at the places that are supposed to do vaccines have been very hard to find. All of the vaccinating sites were provided to me by health care worker friends. The places I saw that were (and still are) providing vaccinations is Jewel Osco in River Forest and in Orland Park. The county of DuPage is providing vaccines for people who work and live in DuPage. Loyola Hospital has a vaccine sign-up program. North Shore hospital has a sign-up sheet.
Once the vaccine becomes fully available to the general public, you will need to be proactive if you want to receive it.
As I get more information about the vaccine locations and when we change phases, I will post them.
Thanks again for your support. We can be reach at mydente.com or click on the links below for the vaccine information.
