I’m not sure if you noticed, but this last weekend, we had a lot of snow
For the last month Finn has been asking to go sledding.
Frequently we ended up bloodied with a nice wipe out and one of those metal parts clocking us in the head or another body part. But it was all good. If the bleeding stopped we could continued to slide down the hill.
I grew up in the North Suburbs and I am totally familiar with all of the good sledding hills. Not every hill is created equally.
We have a nice hill in Evanston called Mt. Trashmore. Supposedly it was an old trash dump, threw some grass on top of it and poof … a sledding hill was formed.
Mt. Trashmore is not the type of hill you go down your first time. It’s big, its steep and it’s very fast. You need to have an idea of what you in for.
I decided to take Finn to an easy one that would not require as many stitches. This hill is located in Skokie by one of the elementary schools, Jane Stenson. This brought back old memories of sledding on the very same hill, 40 plus years ago. Good times.
Not all memories of your youth are good ones. Many people have traumatic memories of their youth while at the dentist. These traumatic events cause people to have a fear of the dentist and eventually avoid the dentist.
For these patients we offer them an anxiety reducing pill the night before and another pill the morning of the appointment.
If you are anxious at your dental appointments and would like to have an Anxiety Free Dental appointment, please visit us at mydente.com or call 773-292-1911.
