This year will be my 20th anniversary of graduating from dental school.
I went to the University of Iowa Dental School and it was by far the best educational experience I ever had. It was a very positive place.
Some of my friends that graduated from other dental schools, described scenarios where they were told, “Look to your left, look to your right. One of you WILL flunk out of here.”
Iowa was a COMPLETELY different culture.
Most of our instructors were calling us “doctor”…from day one.
This energy created a very strong bond with students, to the university, which was brilliant. That positive experience has made their fund-raising events way easier. Almost all of my class has given back.
Whenever the dental school has needed money for improvements, their alumni has backed them.
It all comes down to how you treat people.
Now let me tell you…my instructors were not all flowers and rainbows. They held us to a very high standard. They expected us to do great and ethical work. But you always knew they were trying to help you become the best you could be.
Were they tough? Yes.
But they treated you with incredible kindness and respect. And ultimately that’s what everyone wants.
When you look at our reviews, it’s probably the number one thing people comment about.
Patients comment about our staff’s kindness, how they are treated with respect and never made to feel ashamed or berated for not coming in sooner.
They also tell us how comfortable the environment is “for a dental office.”
Our goal, is to make you always feel good about coming to Dente, to know that you can ask questions about your care and actually get a personal response.
If you are looking for a dental office that listens to you, and respects your decisions, we are here. Give us a call at 773-292-1911 or visit us at mydente.com to schedule your next dental appointment.
