One of the compliments I consistently hear is that everyone at the office is so nice.
Last week, Dulce demonstrated one of those acts of kindness.
A patient came into our office interested in treatment, but he was unsure of his insurance coverage.
So Katie called his insurance and it turns out that his insurance only covered certain offices. We were not included in their list of allowed providers.
The patient did not speak English well, so Dulce explained his insurance to him, in Spanish.
She took a good half hour explaining his insurance, helping him find a dentist, and helping him make an appointment.
This is the kind of culture my dad had, when he owned his gas station business. My parents were always helping people.
It was one of the things I enjoyed most, when I would go work with my dad.
He would frequently help homeless people and allow them to sleep in some of his cars that he had on the lot. He would provide them with blankets and sometimes buy them food. He would constantly help people find jobs. Whenever someone was out of a job, he would call all the people that he knew to help the guy out.
The people we hire, have this level of service, it comes naturally to them and it’s who they are.
