It’s normal to get nervous or anxious whenever you go down new roads.
For us, setting up new protocols and preparing our office, to help our patients and team to stay safe and healthy, is a huge task.
At first, it requires hours and hours of webinars and online classes, with the world experts in disease containment and protection.
You listen to the hours of education, and you begin comparing notes with your colleagues and the professional associations.
Once you’ve done your due diligence, you come up with a plan and communicate that plan to your team.
Then, you begin scouring the entire planet for the necessary equipment and gear, putting the necessary protocols in place.
After all that is accomplished, you do a run through and a few practice sessions with the staff and family members.
Then…..YOU’RE READY TO ROLL!
That was a mouthful and writing all that just raised my heart rate.
Whenever you have a huge task like that, many times you don’t know where to start. Some people become overwhelmed and end up doing nothing. This is a very common “deer in hide lights” look, that people get when they are looking at a lot dental treatment.
A lot of times we have patients that avoid going to the dentist for years.
Over long avoidance of the dentist, the patient begins to accumulate a lot of dental needs.
Many times, these people become so overwhelmed with the time and cost that is required to get their mouth to a healthy state, that they do nothing.
They just don’t know where to begin.
This is to help the patient get treatment done in phases and accomplish something with their smile.
If you are concerned about your dental needs, and need help putting your treatment into phases, call us at 773-292-1911.
