Our home was built in 1930. It’s very charming and cute. That’s the good thing about the house.
The bad thing about the house is the extreme amount of noises is produces.
Our house is constantly making all kinds of noises. In the winter, the house makes some large banging noises. You would think our house is haunted.
We have a steam radiator. It does an amazing job at heating the house quickly but throughout the day, it will make very loud banging noises.
We’ve been told that this is called Water Hammer. I’m told that it’s a lack of insulation on our pipes and this produces some kind of condensation … blah … blah … blah.
All I know is that it’s very annoying and at times, scary. The funny thing is, that we are in our 6th year at living at our house and I no longer notice these annoying noises. We can become accustomed to everything, if enough time passes.
We have many patients that will come to the office for intense emergencies.
But ALL of these patients had minor symptoms way before it became a more urgent situation.
Some of the symptoms people have, are constant bleeding gums, tooth sensitivity that comes and goes, and throbbing or tooth ache that comes and goes.
We all have had these types of symptoms at one time or another, but if it persists, it needs to be looked into.
