About 2 years ago, I got a new Honda Pilot. I’ve chosen to buy Hondas for over 25 years. I love their reliability.
I tend to drive fast and probably change lanes more than I should. It’s one of my faults.
Sorry Joe (my father-in-law, who’s a judge and total rule follower).
One of the features on this new vehicle that I bought, is a brake sensor, that detects when I’m approaching a car too quickly. It will start flashing “BRAKE” on my dashboard and my steering wheel begins to vibrate.
Not feeling in control, can cause much anxiety or even produce a traumatic episode or panic attack.
In dentistry, we see this all the time. This is a big reason why people feel anxious at the dentist, they feel a lack of control.
Dental anxiety is something we see everyday. We have ways to help people cope.
A lot of these patients require anxiety reducing medication. A pill is taken the night before and a pill the morning of the appointment. This allows the patient to relax during their dental procedure, but still be in control of the situation.
It is one of the most rewarding parts of our practice. We are helping people overcome their fear of the dentist.
If you are anxious about seeing the dentist and would like to get an Anxiety Free Dental consultation, please call 773-292-1911 or visit us at mydente.com to schedule your appointment.
