Every time I turn on the news or read information that some “expert” puts forth on the future of our planet, they predict that computers and machines will take over business.
That humans will no longer perform everyday tasks and machines will take over.
I tell you…
One of the most difficult things for me about this shutdown and “Stay At Home” order, is the lack of human of interaction.
Whenever I have a choice to perform a task with a human or a computer, I always pick the human.
Sarah and I have a house that is open to our neighbors, on any given weekend. At any moment, we will have around 10 people over, barbecuing, having drinks and socializing. We love having people come to our home.Right now we are locked up in our house and basically homeschooling our son. My wife is working from home and I am also working on items related to my business.
Our neighbor and his wife are taking walks, on a regular basis, during this isolation.
Whenever I see them walking past our house, I run over to the door and yell out, “Hey Bob and Karen!” I give them an aggressive wave. We’ll have a good 30 second shouting conversation, with 15 feet between us, and I come into the house feeling better.
That is one of the things that I look forward to at work. Seeing patients, catching up on what is going on with their life, talking about my day, and spending time with my team.
I miss the Dente community, the HUMAN INTERACTION and I look forward to seeing all of you at some point in the future. Stay well.
