Today I went to see a patient for an emergency.
We are implementing the safety measures that the CDC and the American Dental Society are recommending.
The day before your appointment, you will be asked a series of questions to identify potentially infected patients. The questions are designed to see if patients are showing any of the COVID-19 signs. If they are showing signs, then at that point, a decision will be made to reschedule the appointment.
At the day of the appointment, the patient will walk into the office. The patient will be asked a series of questions again and will have their temperature taken.
If the patient presents with a fever, they will be asked to reschedule their appointment and to seek medical attention.
For people who feel good and are not showing any signs of COVID-19 symptoms, a very strict hygiene and protection protocol will be followed.
This will add some time to your appointment but it is designed to keep you and our team safe.
I appreciate everyone‘s understanding and look forward to seeing you soon.
