Chicago has a huge jazz scene. I like jazz a little. Not a huge fan, but I don’t hate it either.
I guess, I don’t really know how to appreciate it.
Sarah has a co-worker, that we have become friends with, over the years. Her husband is a jazz bassist. They love the Chicago jazz scene and are friends with many of the people we go see, when we are out with them.
Dan is a very passionate musician and is always describing the intricacies of the people we go see. He points things out about the sound and how difficult it is to achieve the level of excellence in the music that we are listening to.
I’ve found that as my knowledge of jazz has grown, which is very limited, my appreciation for the music has grown as well.
I love learning and I really appreciate when someone explains to me why something is done or created a certain way.I believe this is very important in order to develop TRUST.
