As a kid, we only spoke Spanish at home. English was not an option.
My mom and my grandma always told us that we would be grateful, down the road, that we are able to speak two languages fluently. So true!
This last week, I used my Spanish language skills, a lot. We are doing a remodel and almost every worker is a Spanish speaker. Only the general contractor is American and speaks no Spanish.
We were doing the floors and we had a specific color in mind.
I told the contractor that I wanted to speak to the floor guy directly. I didn’t want anything lost in translation.
We were mixing different colors and applying them to the floor. None of the colors were working. The floor guy and I were going back and forth. It was difficult to communicate exactly what I wanted but the process would have been a lot more difficult if I was communicating through a 3rd person.Having direct communication with the people you work with, is a very important part of getting the results you want.
After every procedure, I will contact my patients the next day, to see how they are doing.
I want my patients to have access to me and be able to ask any questions or address their concerns to me directly.
Many of them will call me directly on my cell.
This type of access to your health care provider is very rare. Think about it. Can you pick up the phone and speak with your MD directly? Can you text him, if you have a quick question? No. But here at Dente, we make it easy.
If you are looking for an office that allows you to have better access to your dentist and their team, please call 773-292-1911 or visit us at mydente.com to schedule an appointment.
