A while ago, Finn wanted to join Cub Scouts.
One of the things he was most excited about was to get his Boy Scout uniform.
We ordered the uniform and a week later we received it in the mail. It came with a hat, shirt, pants, shorts and a belt. He was very excited to try his new threads. I helped him to adjust his belt and put on his whole uniform. He looked very stately and very polished.
When I came downstairs he had completely changed the way he wore his uniform. He fixed it to look the way he liked it.
In dentistry, this happens to me all the time.
Before we do any cosmetic case, we ALWAYS do a mock up of the proposed smile enhancement.
What does a mock up mean?
We will create a design of the proposed smile enhancement and make a plastic prototype of that smile enhancement. That prototype will slip right over your natural teeth without creating any damage of your natural teeth.
This allows the patient to visualize this improved smile in the patient’s mouth.
Almost always, the patient will have suggestions to fix the proposed smile, to their liking. Things that I think look good may not be so appealing to the patient.
It’s great to get all of this ironed out before you ever start. It minimizes any surprises or expectations not being met.
If you are wanting to enhance your smile and would like to get some options, please call 773-292-1911 to get your consultation.
