It’s Un-bear-able

I have been a Chicago Bears fan since I was 13 years old. I’m not really sure how I got into the games, but I think it’s when the Bears began winning with Mike Ditka and Buddy Ryan. I love to find people who share the same passion for the Bears.

The second I found out that I had was having a son, one of the most exciting things I would imagine, was me and my son sitting on the couch, watching many Bears games together.

I rarely miss a Bears game and since Finn was a baby, I tried to get him to watch the Bears games with me. He has never showed any interest.

Finn will sit with me for a few minutes and then, almost immediately, he’ll pick up his iPad and watch his own shows. He was always completely uninterested with football

This last year, he had a complete switch. He now loves football.

It began when he started playing the video game “Madden.” He and his friends became obsessed with the game and with football.

Everyday, in recess at school, he and his friends play football. Everyday when I get home, he wants to play football in the front yard. And then, on YouTube, he will watch football for hours.

The one issue is, and it’s a huge issue, is that he does not like the Bears. I know right?!?!? Red flag! LOL!!!!

His favorite team is Kansas City and his favorite player is Patrick Mahomes.

Don’t worry, I’ll brainwash him into loving the Bears, eventually. Lol.

We all are always trying to convince our loved ones to do things, that we feel are in their best interest.

I see this all the time in dentistry.

I have plenty of patients that come to me and say, ”I’m trying to get my husband to see you. He hasn’t seen a dentist in years but I can’t get him to come.”

Sharing things that we love with people that we care about is fun and rewarding. If we share our great experiences, we know they will also have the same experience.
