Flossing is probably one of the hardest tasks to stick with consistent. It ranks up there with dieting and working out.
Here are 4 tips to help you stick with your flossing routine and create a habit.
1. Have it be the very first thing you do with your bedtime routine.
When you go to bed, do it ahead of anything else, that includes washing your face and taking out your contacts. When you tackle the thing you like the least first, you’re more likely to stick with it.
2. Buy Glide Floss.
Glide floss is the easiest floss to use when flossing. It is made of teflon. They are able to make the floss very thin and slippery making it easy to floss each tooth. This means less flossing time for you.
3. Buy four packs of floss at a time.
One of the biggest things that makes people fall off the wagon is running out of floss and missing a bunch of consecutive days. Staying consistent is the key, especially in the beginning, when you are establishing a habit.
4. Write a to do list on your bathroom mirror.
Writing down your list of what needs to be done on a note and taping it to the mirror, will help you to stay consistent. Having the sequential order of what to do, helps as well.
