Many people are amazed that I am able to think of 4 emails a week to write about. They don’t know where I get the energy and the time.
As I have written before, in the past, I was paying other people a huge amount of money to do my marketing for me.
They were responsible for defining what our office and myself stood for. They wrote stories to our patients that I felt were not a representation of our office.
I felt that it was disingenuous.
I complained to my friends about this inability to communicate our office and patient care philosophy. Every one of my friends sympathized with my complaints but never gave me a solution to my aggravation.
One of my friends suggested, “Why don’t you take over marketing?” I replied, “I don’t know how to do it.” His response to me was, “Oh!”
The second I heard his response, I knew that I had to take the marketing into my own hands and learn how to do it myself.
It’s an interesting exercise. You begin to analyze the things that are important to you and why you do the things that you do.
One of the things that I decided to do was post my daily emails Tuesday through Friday at 8:00am.
I’ve been doing that every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for the last 4 years. I’ve only missed a few days during Christmas time, because that is when I take my vacation.Other than that, I’ve been consistent.
Now you’re thinking how does posting at the same time 4 days a week represent your brand. My posting at 8:00am is a very deliberate and thought out time.
Prior to the pandemic most of my patients were commuting to their offices between 8:00am and 9:00am. Many of them would read my daily post during their morning commute. (Of course, not while driving.)
If you notice that I am committed to doing that with my daily emails, you can only imagine my commitment level with your dental care.
We have grown tremendously since we began taking charge with our marketing.
A huge part of that has been because of our consistent dedication to our message.
