This morning was a crazy day of driving.
I take Ogden into work. There are parts of Ogden that are equivalent to Lake Shore Drive in speed and business.
Usually, I’m pretty chill when I’m driving. It takes a lot to rattle me while I drive.
This morning was not one of those days.
I was driving and going around 40 miles per hour. There were no cars in front of me. I was listening to my music and in a very relaxed state.
There were cars driving in the opposite direction and they were all driving fairly normal.
Then in a pretty aggressive move, a yellow car, going in the opposite direction, suddenly swerves into my lane and is now driving straight towards me. He did not slow down when he swerved into my lane, he sped up.
I slammed on the breaks. My bag and my water bottle came slamming onto my counsel.
He then made another aggressive move and swerved into a driveway.
My heart was beating out of my chest. The entire drive in, I was completely rattled.
Thankfully, I’ve had thousands of hours of driving experience and know this stuff almost never happens. But if I would have been a newer driver, this could have affected me permanently. This could have caused me to have a fear of driving for the rest of my life.
Traumatic events happen to all of us. Every day I will hear stories of an experience that caused a person to have a fear of the dentist.
It’s very common.
Here at Dente, we recognize this fear and offer those patients Anxiety Free Dentistry. This type of dentistry allows the patient to be relaxed and comfortable. Taking the edge off the fear that they usually experience at the dentist.
If you are looking for a more comfortable dental experience, Anxiety Free Dentistry is for you. Give us a call at 773-292-1911 or visit us at mydente.com or like us on Facebook for more information.
