Last Monday was Sarah my wife’s birthday. I wanted to buy her some flowers and all the floral shops that we were looking at, were only doing next day deliveries.
We needed something that day.
After the fifth phone call, Zhana found Cornelia McNamara’s Flower shop.
Cornelia answered the phone and Zhana explained our short turn around time frame. Cornelia reassured her that she would get the job done and we would be happy.
She described to Zhana that she was going to a flower farm in Logan Square and going to pick the flowers fresh. She was going to pick out a nice vase and later drive it over to the office for delivery.
Later that afternoon, Cornelia showed up to the office and hand delivered the beautiful bouquet.
When Cornelia came through the door she was full of energy. She educated me on all the flowers. She showed some mint leaves that she incorporated into the bouquet.
She then said I could use the mint leaves for a Mojito (Alcoholic Drink). She has great taste.
The bouquet was amazing but Cornelia’s effort and story was even more impressive.
This level of attention and customer service blew me away.
These are things that I pay attention to all the time as a consumer. I’m always paying attention to my buying experiences. Especially when it’s a positive one.
