As a kid, I played several sports. I was a mediocre player at best but I really enjoyed playing.
A few weeks ago, Finn had a baseball game. The talent on his team ranges widely. There are some kids that are amazing and there are others that just picked up the sport and aren’t there yet.
Finn’s talent lies in between. If he improves his technique with batting and fielding, he would be a lot better.
During the games, we watch all the players and I point out the players that have good technique.
I begin to describe the things they are doing correctly…the way they hold their bat, the way they are standing, the way they step into the pitch.
These are techniques that have been proven since the days of Babe Ruth.
Yes, there have been baseball players that have used unconventional technique and have been very successful. But these players are rare.
As we stood at the fence, watching the game, I would say, “See how that player is standing? That’s how you want to stand.” Then he’ll nod “yes.”
With anything, there are proven techniques that help to achieve the best success.
At our office, we believe in good ol’ fashion customer service. My entire life I’ve sought out businesses that demonstrate great customer service.
As a kid, I loved Polk Brothers, Marshall Fields, Full Service Gas Stations and many others. You were always greeted with a smile and people that were trying to help you find the best product for YOU.
Customer service is a dying art. People no longer greet you when you walk into their stores. When they speak to you, there is no eye contact. You feel like…Do These People Even Want Me Here.
You feel like an annoyance rather than a welcomed customer.
From day one, when we opened, that was going to be my focus. To make sure our patients felt welcomed and that we had their best interest at heart.
I believe that’s our secret sauce.
The moment that you walk into our dental office, you will be greeted with a warm “Hello” and a smile (even though it’s behind a mask.)
We enjoy chatting with our patients and helping them out when we can.
You may get into a conversation about your life or ours …. about me and my family, Katie’s dog or a wedding that a team member is planning.
We stand behind our service also, by offering quality dental work and giving each patient the time they need.
We know that you are looking for personalized care. Give us a call at 773-292-1911 or visit us at mydente.com to get scheduled today.
