A lot of people are still having a difficult time finding appointments for the vaccine.
Most of these appointments are made online and if you’re not computer savvy it is difficult to schedule.
I have heard of people having success with getting vaccinated in Central Illinois. If you are willing to take a drive, Hy-Vee Grocery Stores are vaccinating people with a scheduled appointment and it’s not as hard to find an opening.
Also, many of the vaccination centers have multiple people that don’t show up for a scheduled appointment to get the vaccine, and they have left-over vaccine doses. If the doses are not given to a person that day, they must be thrown out. Essentially, a vaccine that could have went into an arm, goes down the drain.
Listed below are some websites that will help place you on a vaccine waiting list for an appointment. The key is to try multiple places, multiple times a day. Be diligent and you will get an appointment.
Also ask your local Walgreens and Jewel Osco, to see if they could place you on a waiting list. If someone doesn’t show up for their appointment, then they will give you a call.
I hope this information helps. As always, give us a call if you have questions, 773-292-1911.
