Finn has always been into music. He listens to all kinds of music, but his favorite band is Imagine Dragons.
He first began listening to them when he was around 5 years old. His babysitter, at the time, had a son that was into the band and introduced them to him. Since then, he’s learned all Imagine Dragons songs.
For years now, he’s told me that I need to take him to the Imagine Dragons concert when they come to Chicago. Finn let me know that they were coming on August 18th and if I could take him. I told him I needed to research the ticket prices, and I’d get back to him.
I went online and checked out the pricing. They had two different kinds of seating arrangements.
You could be on the lawn or in an actual chair.
Well, I wanted to be in a chair and did not want to rough it on the lawn. LOL
Then I saw that the seat pricing began at $200 per seat. I thought that was expensive but when compared to Taylor Swift it was not so bad. I then told him that I would take him and I would purchase the tickets.
I then went back to the site and selected the ticket and the number of tickets we wanted. When I went to pay, our price doubled.
Our tickets went from $200 per ticket to $400 per ticket. When I investigated it further, I saw the venue had added all these extra fees that were not originally advertised.
This bait and switch totally annoyed me. I was contemplating backing out on this concert, but I already promised Finn. So, I bit the bullet and bought the tickets. This left a bad taste in my mouth.
Being up front with your customers avoids a lot of problems and strengthens trust between you and the customer.
