Since Finn was about 5 years old, he has liked the band, Imagine Dragons. His babysitter’s son at the time was a teenager and loved Imagine Dragons. Finn began following that band and was learning all their songs.
About a year ago, he told me that he wanted to see the Imagine Dragons the next time they came to Chicago.
A few months ago, he told me that the Imagine Dragons were coming to Chicago in August. As promised, I bought it for all of us to go. The concert was at the Tinley Park Amphitheatre.
I was shocked to see the concert was packed with kids. Probably 30 percent of the attendees were children. The most I’ve ever seen at a rock concert.
The second the band began to play, Finn and his friend were jumping up and down singing every word from start to finish.
On the stage they had explosions with pyrotechnics and confetti shot into the air.
The concert lasted about an hour and a half. Finn was completely sweaty by the end of the concert. He told me that he had one of the best times in his life.
Watching Finn have such a great time made my day. It created an amazing memory that I was able to be a part of.
