The older I get, more and more of my friends are hitting the dental lecture circuit. It’s very cool to see people that you started out with, that are now filling up huge rooms and teaching people from all over the world.
I could never imagine doing this. I have a huge fear of public speaking. I think many people do.
When I ask my friends what’s the scariest part of giving a massive presentation, all of them give me the same answer.
The fear that keeps them up at night is: Will they be able to fill the lecture hall with people?
I guess that having the ability to fill a room is a great advantage.
If you can do that each and every time, people will ask you back over and over again.
There is a huge upfront cost that comes to hosting a lecture and some people never recover their costs because they were not able to fill the lecture.
