Teeth Whitening Instructions: Most all of us can agree that the color of your teeth makes a significant difference with our self-confidence and overall happiness. If you want beautiful pearly whites, you don’t need to be a Hollywood celebrity! A professional home whitening kit, with a custom fitting tray is the perfect solution to getting the brightest, whitest smile of your dreams.

At home whitening is convenient and easy, and can be done safely if proper steps are taken. A very common complaint about traditional home whitening kits is that people can experience cold sensitivity when using these products. If this is a concern for you, or has made you hesitant to try whitening, we recommend prepping your teeth with a highly concentrated prescription strength fluoride toothpaste. This extra step is your best bet in reducing cold sensitivity. Simply brush your teeth for two minutes with the prescription fluoride toothpaste, and do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes. Side note- if you’d rather not brush, then put a small amount of the prescription fluoride toothpaste inside of your custom trays, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Leave the fluoride on your teeth, but thoroughly rinse out your trays afterwards.

Next, apply a small dot of the whitening solution in the center of each tooth in your tray. Refer to the video if you need a visual as to how much solution you need- a little bit goes a long way! If there is excess gel it will ooze out of your trays and onto your gums. If this happens, be sure to wipe off and remove the excess immediately. The whitening solution will irritate and whiten your gums, which are both undesirable outcomes. For optimal results, allow yourself to wear your whitening trays for 30 minutes to an hour, each day. Be mindful that the longer you keep your trays on, the more increased chance you have to developing sensitivity, so be conscious of how your teeth are reacting to the solution.

After two weeks, you’ll notice that some teeth look whiter than others. You can easily even out the color of your teeth by spot treating the teeth that need an extra boost. Especially while doing your whitening treatment, be sure to minimally consume food and drinks that have the potential to stain your teeth, such as coffee, tea, berries, cumin, etc. Enjoy your radiant new smile for up to 6 months! We hope you find these teeth whitening instructions useful!
